Monographie magnifique de Gérôme. Pour qui est intéressé par l'art académique du XIXe, ceci est un très bel ouvrage avec un très bon texte d'accompagnement, une biographie suffisante, et la liste de toutes les oeuvres de Gérôme en fin d'ouvrage.Beaucoup de peintures sont en pleine page mais pas toutes. Seul reproche : à ce prix, le format devrait être plus grand ou à format identique, le prix devrait être 40 euros de moins.

Artiste très étonnant de précision et de talent. La moitié de l'ouvrage est consacré à sa bibliographie agrémenté de reproduction couleurs magnifiques. La deuxième partie en N/B repend toutes ses œuvres avec les commentaires. Beau livre relié facile à lire et à tenir en main (420 P). Superbe. A Recommander
